Engage
The Engage module of Agentic Engine provides a solution for refined operations. With the Engage module, you can apply data insights to business scenarios and deliver personalized content to users at different stages, significantly improving core metrics such as activity, retention, and payment.
The essence of refined operations is understanding your users and giving them what they want. With the AE Engage module, you can:
- Push specific content to specific audiences through a wide range of push channels
- Reach target users more scientifically with fine-grained audience selection
- Evaluate the effect of operation strategies more accurately with end-to-end data collection, so that you can keep iterating on them
- Reduce financial losses caused by operation incidents with global operation risk control
To enable the Engage module, contact your Customer Success Manager or sales representative.
This section explains how to use the Engage module to drive business growth in the following areas:
Operation tasks carry your operation strategies. You can push personalized content through operation tasks.
- Create operation tasks: You can create and publish an operation task by selecting target users, choosing the push timing, configuring personalized content, and setting conversion goals. Depending on the push type and push channel, operation tasks are divided into scheduled tasks, server-side triggered tasks, and client-side triggered tasks.
- Manage operation tasks: Manage operation tasks more effectively. You can approve and publish, pause, view push records, change the group, copy, and delete tasks.
- Task performance analysis: Evaluating the effect of operation strategies is a key part of operations. With task performance analysis, you can view the real-time effect of operation tasks, such as aggregated task data, reach and goal conversion data for each day or each push, and analysis of converted or churned users.
- A/B testing: The refined operations module of AE supports A/B testing. You can configure multiple content split-flow strategies in the same operation task for comparison testing, which helps operations staff choose the optimal strategy based on data and improve target conversion.
Journey lets you orchestrate user journeys by dragging and dropping components freely. You can configure and manage the user reach process as a visual flow, closing the loop from trigger to execution to effect analysis.
- Create a journey lets you configure how users enter the flow, the execution flow, and branch strategies to build the flow visually.
- Journey management lets you approve, launch, pause, and maintain versions of created flows, managing the full lifecycle of each flow.
- Journey performance evaluation analyzes execution results at the overall flow and node levels, evaluates conversion performance, and supports strategy optimization.
Campaigns combine multiple operation tasks that share the same operation goal and let you create operation tasks in batches, which simplifies the workflow of operations staff and makes it easier to evaluate campaign effects.
- Create a campaign: You can create multiple operation themes under a single campaign. Within a theme, you can create operation tasks in batches based on the same target audience and push timing. You can also create independent tasks under a campaign to support a variety of flexible combinations.
- Campaign management: Here you can go through the campaign approval process, view campaign statuses, and perform the corresponding actions (pause, end, delete, edit, and so on).
- Campaign effect analysis: The campaign effect analysis module provides campaign-level information and data reports, giving you a high-level view of the overall operation status and data details of a campaign.
Config Center provides two ways to deliver configurations: Webhook delivery and periodic pulling by the client SDK. You can change your app's appearance and in-app activities without releasing a new version, so that you can respond quickly to user needs.
- Config items: A Config Item corresponds to a business module in your app, such as announcements, carousels, in-app messages, or the activity center. You can connect business modules in your app that need flexible content design to Config Center and create the corresponding config items for them.
- Config templates: Config templates carry business function parameters. You can create one or more config templates under a config item.
- Config parameter management: Parameters created under a config item can be used in multiple config templates.
- Config strategies: An operation strategy is a specific configuration instance or a combination of instances, such as "October consecutive login rewards for players" or "cumulative payment rewards".
- Config channels: Config Center supports two ways to get configurations. For details, see Access Settings - Config Center.
Engage settings provide management capabilities for the Engage module. The following documents explain how to create channels and complete the necessary operation security settings.
- Access settings: The Engage module provides multiple ways to connect to downstream channels, all managed in Settings > Access Settings. You can use it to configure channels, manage channel status, test channel availability, and more.
- Delivery caps: Set delivery cap rules for push channels to avoid disturbing users too often.
- Approval settings: Set approvers for operation tasks. An operation task takes effect only after it's approved in a second confirmation.
- Whitelist management: Add or manage whitelists. When you create an operation task, you can specify a task whitelist (whitelisted users receive every push of the operation task).
- Analysis settings: Here you can customize which events correspond to the new user event, active event, and top-up event. After configuration, the metrics related to activity, new users, and payment in key operation metrics become configurable and can be used for daily monitoring of operations and product data. You can also set common metrics for operation task performance analysis here.
- Localization settings: Here you can set the user language property so that the push content of operation tasks supports multiple languages.
- Client parameters: Client parameters include environment parameters that the AE SDK can get. You can also use the addClientParams method to set in-game parameters in the AE SDK for condition checks when client tasks are triggered.
- Configuration table management: In the channel settings of the Engage module, fields in content templates can use configuration tables, so that you can directly select content from configuration tables in the push content of operation tasks or in config items.
Engage workbench: With the Engage workbench, you can see the key operation metrics and the operation task schedule of the current project and get a global view of the project.
- Key operation metrics: You can configure key operation metric cards on the Engage workbench to monitor metrics such as daily operation tasks, push effects, and activity.
- Operation schedule chart: With the Gantt chart of operation task schedules, you can see the schedule plans of all ongoing operation tasks in the current project.
In addition, we'll share operation scenarios as best practice cases for your reference and provide an Engage FAQ document to help you solve problems in daily operations. We hope this helps!
