Config parameter management

Last updated 10/03/2026

Each config item has its own parameter namespace (that is, parameter names are unique within a config item but can repeat across config items). Parameters at the config item level can be used in multiple templates.

For example, the event center has several event formats. Although the formats differ, they share two control parameters: Event Start Time and Event End Time. You only need to add these parameters once to use them in multiple templates.

Create a parameter

In the upper-right corner of Parameters under a config item, click + Add Parameter:

Or go to the template editing page (only templates that are not enabled can be edited) and click + Add Parameter on the right

You can also create parameters in bulk on the template editing page by importing a JSON file. For details, see Config template management

Parameter type

The parameter type only constrains the parameter's Input Method. Supported input methods are String, Number, Boolean, Date, Time, Dropdown Selection, Array, Object, and JSON editor.

tip

The parameter type only constrains how a parameter is entered; when configurations are delivered, all parameters are delivered as String. You can preview the format of delivered parameters on the template editing or viewing page.

String

  • Single-line text
  • Multi-line text

Numeric

Date

Time

Boolean

Enum

When you select Enum, bind a configuration table that provides the dropdown options. For how to upload configuration tables, see Configuration table management.

Object

Array

Arrays support array element types such as String, Number, Date, Time, Boolean, and Object.

Array/String

For example, when the array element is set to String, the input looks like this:

Array/Object

When the array element is set to Object or an array of objects, define the value parameters of the inner object elements:

Array/Object input example:

When a nested element inside the array is set to Object or Array, you can further specify value parameters for its elements to build a multi-level nested parameter structure, as in this configuration example of a Consecutive Login Rewards Event:

Input example:

Json

If you have complex JSON fields that need to be stored separately, you can also use this type.

Edit parameters

Manage all parameters of a config item on its Parameters tab.

A parameter cannot be modified while it is used by an Enabled template.

To keep any existing config strategies running stably, turn off the related templates before you modify parameters.
