Experiment
The experiment suite is a value-added feature of the AE system. To use it, contact your Customer Success Manager.
The experiment suite covers the complete A/B testing workflow, from defining experiment variables, configuring statistical metrics, and isolating traffic to running experiments and analyzing results. It mainly includes the following modules:
| Module | Entry point | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Feature management | Config Center → Feature | Define the feature parameters that experiments change, their default values, and the connected clients |
| Metric management | Experiment → Metrics | Define the statistical metrics used to judge experiment results |
| Traffic layers | Experiment → Layers | Carry experiment traffic for mutual exclusion between experiments and traffic isolation |
| Experiment list | Experiment → Experiments | Create, submit, run, pause, resume, and end experiments, and view experiment configurations and statistical reports |
We recommend configuring in the order Feature → Metrics → Traffic layers → Experiments. When an experiment runs, the system uses the traffic layer to define the traffic eligible for the experiment, assigns different Feature values to users based on the experiment group ratios, and finally uses the experiment metrics to evaluate the performance of each group.
