BI dashboards

Last updated 10/03/2026

A BI dashboard is a tool that combines data processing, chart creation, and personalized composition and layout to deliver rich visualizations around a specific topic.

In a BI dashboard, you can use SQL to process data within the project and data from the DataOps Platform into the data your visualizations need, which is called a sheet. With the sheets you create, you can design different charts and arrange them across different pages. Combined with components such as filters, images, and web pages, they tell a polished, rigorous, and complete data story.

Charts
  • Created directly in the BI dashboard
  • Belong only to the BI dashboard where they're created
  • Support a variety of custom chart displays
  • Bring together reports created with analysis models
  • Support only the chart styles of the corresponding analysis model
  • Reports can be displayed in different dashboards
Filters
  • Filter by fields in sheets
  • Choose which charts a filter applies to
  • Only analytical assets such as event properties, user properties, user tags, and cohorts can be used for filtering
  • Apply to all reports in the dashboard
Permissions
  • Control precisely what data each viewer can see
  • Finer-grained control over edit and manage permissions
  • Control which users can use the dashboard through data permissions
  • Control view and edit permissions for different users
