Reports

Last updated 10/02/2026

In AE, analysis data is stored and presented through Reports. You can get analysis results from an analysis model, choose a suitable way to present the data, save it as a report, and share it for viewing through dashboards.

Create a report

After you run a calculation in any analysis model and adjust the display, click Save to save the current analysis as a report.

When saving, you can choose to put the report directly on a target dashboard. You can also add a report note to help viewers understand the report.

Report sharing and collaboration

You can share reports and collaborate on them by sharing dashboards:

  • Dashboard viewers can view all reports on the dashboard
  • Dashboard editors can edit all reports on the dashboard

In the upper-right corner, you can click to view the dashboards the current report is used on, or add the report to more dashboards. Note: Only the report owner can add the report to a dashboard. When someone other than the owner opens the report, Add to dashboard in the upper-right menu is grayed out.

Report version management

Each time you Save a report, the system creates a new version that records changes to the report name, note, or configuration. In the report's Version History, you can view the record of each change and load the report configuration of a specific version. After loading it, click Calculate to run an ad hoc data query with that version's configuration. To overwrite the latest version with a historical configuration, load the historical version, finish the calculation, and then click Save. The system creates a new report version based on the selected conditions. Note: The report name and note can't be loaded this way, but you can view historical names and notes in the version history.

Manage reports

On each analysis model page, you can view the reports created with that model under Existing Reports.

You can also go from the Existing Reports panel to the Manage Reports page to see a list of all reports in the project that you have permission to view. Super admin accounts and the project owner can view all reports in the project; other roles can view reports they created and reports that other project members shared through dashboards.

In the Existing Reports panel and on the Manage Reports page, you can delete reports and perform other operations.

Hand over a report

To have someone else use and manage your report from now on, you can hand it over to a specific member. After the handover, that member becomes the new Owner, and you no longer have direct permissions on the report.
