Note

This document describes only the fields specific to the Model-Mapping Dimension Table configuration and the logic specific to its asset list

For a general description of the model mapping assets configuration feature, see Model Mapping Assets Configuration

1. Basic information

  • The AE system lets you add associated dimension information to existing property data to get dimension properties. For example, based on the product ID property, you can associate other dimension data to get information such as the product name, price, and type
  • For Excel and CSV files, use the Data Table feature
  • For external data sources, use the Model-Mapping Dimension Table in Model Mapping Assets Configuration

2. Model-mapping configuration fields

2.1 Entity information

Includes three fields: entity property type, entity property, and entity column

🔵 Entity property type

For a property that needs associated dimension data, first determine whether it's an event property or a user property

Your selection in this field determines the options available in the Entity property field that follows

🔵 Entity property

Select the property that needs associated dimension data. Supported types: String, Number, Time

When the entity property is of the String or Number type, the system reads the property value and finds the equal value in the data source to associate with it

When the entity property is of the Time type, the system truncates the time to the required granularity (day, hour, and so on), converts it to the String type, and then associates it with the values in the data source. In this case, an additional Time format field appears

🔵 Time format

Required only when the entity property is of the Time type

The following table lists the granularity options and the text format used for matching. The entity column in the data source must be formatted accordingly to avoid incorrect matches

🔵 User entities column

Select the column in the data source to associate with the entity property

When the entity property type is String or Time, the data type of the entity column must be String

When the entity property type is Number, the data type of the entity column must be Number

3.1 Asset data types

Assets of the model-mapping dimension table support the following types:

Number, String, Time, Boolean

For complex value acquisition scenarios, see Complex model-mapping configuration scenarios and SQL examples
