Reporting management
Here you can view how data has recently been received in the project, and disable or enable events.
1. Event counts
The statistics on this page are updated about every 10 minutes. The statistics are described as follows:
| Statistic | Description |
|---|---|
| Received | The amount of reported data received by the receiver. Note that this module counts reports, not the number of data rows stored after ingestion. |
| Saved | The amount of reported data written to or updated in the event and user tables after processing. Note that Saved includes both normally saved data and data saved with errors. |
| Saved with error | The data is written to or updated in the event and user tables, but has quality issues, such as property-level errors like invalid event property names or invalid property types. The erroneous properties are set to null. |
| Discarded | The amount of reported data that cannot be stored because it is invalid, for example, because #event_name is missing or #event_time is outside the allowed range. |
2. Data interception
Note that some data generated by third-party integration modules cannot be intercepted by this module.
1. Intercept and resume reporting for a single event
- For every item except User Properties, you can click Intercept Event to set the event to intercepted status. Intercepted events are no longer received or stored. Interception takes effect immediately, and data cannot be recovered while reporting is disabled. Proceed with caution.
- Resume: Intercepted events can be enabled again. Data reported from the server side takes effect 10 minutes after the event is re-enabled, and data reported from the client side takes effect the next time the user opens the app.
2. Set interception in batches: Select multiple events and set them to intercepted or resume their reporting.
3. Set interception by event name
- Add intercepted events: In Data Interception, click +Intercept event reporting.
- Enter event names in batches: For events that haven't generated metadata in the project, you can set interception by event name to keep the events from being stored and generating metadata. To enter multiple event names, separate them with commas (",") or line breaks: after you enter each event name, press Enter (or click outside the input box) to generate an event name tag.
4. Data interception management
- Resume reporting in batches
- View the change log: the latest 100 interception and resume operations
3. View error details
When you hover over data that is Saved with error or Discarded, a View drill-down button appears.
The details page for data saved with errors shows the anomaly details of the corresponding events.
The details page for discarded data shows the error details of the corresponding events.
On the error details page, Error Count is the number of data records that contain the error type. The error type is identified first, and the specific error reasons and sample records are listed under each error type to help you locate the problem. For property-level error types, details such as the names of the erroneous properties are provided. To make the data easier to read, you can view each reported record in a formatted view or copy it with one click.
