Real-time availability of events and properties

Last updated 10/02/2026

AE is gradually rolling out real-time applications that let you get information and act on strategies based on users' real-time behavior. For example, Real-time alerts notify you immediately when data is abnormal, and Triggered tasks let you push gift packs to users as soon as they meet the conditions.

Most events and properties in AE can be selected in real-time applications. For data stability reasons, a small number of events and properties are unavailable in real time.

Real-time availability of events

On the Events page, the Real-time available status column shows which events can currently be used in the real-time applications above.

The following events are unavailable to real-time applications:

  • Custom events
  • Events to which a first event check has ever been added
  • Events that have ever been reported as updatable events
  • Events whose data source is cross-source data

Real-time availability of properties

On the Event Properties and User Properties pages, the Real-time available status column shows which properties can currently be used in the real-time applications above.

The following properties are unavailable to real-time applications:

  • Dimension table properties: if the data table or primary property used when adding the dimension table is unavailable in real time, the dimension table property is unavailable in real time. For the real-time availability rules of data tables, see Real-time availability of data tables
  • Custom properties: if the definition uses a user-defined function (UDF), tag data, or a dimension table property that is unavailable in real time, the property is unavailable in real time
  • Properties whose data source is cross-source data
