Space overview
The space overview summarizes the tasks, conversations, space assets, and recent changes in the current workspace that need your attention, helping you quickly decide what to handle next.
Intended for: workspace users.
Search keywords: Workspace overview, space status, pending items, reminders.
Open the space overview and assess the current status
Select the space you want to work in and go to Space Overview. First check the space name and description at the top of the page, and then use Space Snapshot to decide whether anything needs immediate attention.
Open Tasks is the total number of tasks in the current space that are in progress or paused and not archived. It excludes completed and archived tasks, and it doesn't count only the tasks you own.
Needs Attention summarizes the pending conversations visible to you and the latest automation failures you haven't viewed yet. New replies and in-progress conversations appear in the conversation area but aren't counted in this metric. Hover over or click the info icon next to a metric to see how it is calculated.
When there are pending conversations, click Handle Pending to go to the conversation. To start new work, click Start Conversation. To configure space capabilities or members, see Create a space.
View and move tasks forward
The Tasks area shows a summary of open tasks, including the task name, status, latest progress, owner, and update time. Tasks you own or collaborate on are shown first, and the rest are sorted by update time. Up to 3 tasks are shown.
Click a task card to open its details on the current overview page, view the context, and use the actions you have permission for. Close the details to return to the overview. To find more tasks, or to view completed and archived tasks, click View All Tasks.
Being able to see a task doesn't mean you have full edit permissions. To create tasks, add records, maintain collaboration relationships, or have an Agent run a task, see Tasks and follow the permission requirements of the corresponding action.
Handle pending conversations and automation errors
The Conversations area shows pending, automation error, new reply, and in-progress conversations, in order of how much attention they need. Up to 4 items are shown. Click an item to go to the conversation or the automation run details. To find other conversations, click View All Conversations in Space Snapshot.
- Pending: The Agent is waiting for the user to confirm. Go to the conversation, read the current request, and then confirm or provide more information as prompted.
- Automation error: The most recent run of this automation failed and you haven't viewed it yet. Go to the corresponding run, check the errors and results, and handle them based on the cause.
- New reply: The Agent has a new reply waiting for you to view. Go to the conversation, read the results, and decide whether to continue.
- In progress: The conversation is running or queued. Go to the conversation to check the current progress.
Errors are grouped by automation, not accumulated by the number of past failures. Each automation keeps at most one reminder for its latest failure, and the reminder is removed once you view that failure. The old failure reminder is also removed after the latest run succeeds or the task is paused or deleted. A new reminder is created if the automation fails again later. Each member's viewed status is independent, and a disappeared reminder doesn't mean the cause of the failure has been fixed.
To learn about interactions, confirmations, and conversation results, see Conversations. To adjust tasks, check run records, or handle failures, see Automations.
View recently updated space assets
The Space Assets area summarizes the uploaded files and the conversation outputs saved to the current space, sorted by last update time. Up to 4 items are shown. These are the most recently updated assets, not the number of assets added within a given period.
Click an asset card to preview it directly. To browse more files or manage assets, click View All Space Assets. Files from a conversation appear here only after they are added to space assets. The fact that a conversation has generated a file doesn't by itself mean the file has been shared with space members.
If Space assets haven't fully loaded appears, only the part that has loaded is shown. Go to the space assets page to view the rest. Don't conclude from this that the space has no other files.
Understand space activity
Space Activity shows recent member additions or removals, space capability changes, and memory changes, helping you see who adjusted the space and when. Capability changes include changes to Agents, MCP, Skills, knowledge bases, and the default Agent.
Memory entries in the activity feed only signal a change and don't show the memory content. When you see Pending, go to memory management to view it and handle it according to your permissions. For the detailed process, see Space Memory. To adjust members or space capabilities, see Create a space.
Space activity is a summary of recent changes, not a complete record of all actions. View task progress in the task details, and view automation run processes in the corresponding run records.
Visibility and FAQ
Does a shared space show everyone's conversations? No. Regular conversations are still isolated by the user they belong to. You can see your own conversations and the shared automation run conversations you have access to. The overview and reminders don't bypass space or Agent access permissions.
Why does the number of list items differ from the numbers at the top? Each metric at the top is calculated by its own definition, and the task and conversation areas show only part of the prioritized content. To view everything, use the corresponding View All entry.
Does no content mean there's no work in the space? No open tasks doesn't mean there are no completed or archived tasks, and No pending conversations doesn't mean there are no past conversations. When a metric shows — or Temporarily unavailable, or a module says it failed to load, the data hasn't been retrieved normally yet and shouldn't be treated as 0. If tasks fail to load, click Retry Loading Tasks. For other modules, refresh the page or go to the corresponding page.
Why is there no edit entry next to the space name? The personal default workspace doesn't provide this entry. A non-default personal space can be edited by its owner, and for a shared space the entry is shown only to the space Owner and admins. For how to manage space information, capabilities, and members, see Create a space.
