Upgrade Guide

Last updated 10/10/2026

With the introduction of workspaces, use this guide to find your existing conversations, automations, and Agent Team tasks and continue your work.

For: users who used Agentic Engine before the upgrade. This guide explains workspace assignment and changes to entry points. For detailed operations and permissions, see the relevant feature guides.

Search keywords: workspace upgrade, migration guide, historical conversations, existing automations, Agent Team tasks, default personal workspace.

What changes after the upgrade

The new navigation organizes work into two areas: use things, conversations, automations, and workspace memory in Workspace; maintain reusable Agents, MCPs, Skills, knowledge bases, and models in Capability Center. Select a workspace first, then find the content within it.

Once workspace assignment during the upgrade is complete, historical conversations, single-Agent automations, and Agent Team tasks that previously had no workspace belong to their owners' default personal workspaces.

Where to find existing content

In the table below, “default personal workspace” applies to content that previously had no workspace and whose workspace assignment is complete. For content that already belonged to a workspace, switch to that original workspace.

Existing contentWhere to find it nowImportant distinctions

Historical ordinary conversations, including conversations started through an Agent or Agent Team

Default personal workspace → ConversationsContinue working in the existing conversation. Do not look for these records in a newly created, empty workspace.
Archived ordinary conversationsWorkspace settings → Archived conversationsArchived records do not reappear in the ordinary conversation list. Team and channel conversations do not use the ordinary-conversation archive flow.
Single-Agent automation tasksDefault personal workspace → AutomationsOpen the existing task to review its configuration and run history, then open the corresponding conversation from a run record.
Agent Team tasks, including scheduled and manual-only tasksDefault personal workspace → AutomationsSearch the list by task or team name. Open the task, then use Run History to view the details of a specific run.
Agent and Agent Team configurations

Capability Center → Agent Library → Agent Team tab

Team configurations, team conversations, and team tasks are different objects: use Capability Center to change configurations, Automations to find execution tasks, and Conversations to continue a conversation.

Managing resources is different from selecting capabilities within a workspace. To configure which capabilities a workspace can use, see workspace capability settings in Create a Workspace.

How to continue your work

  1. Switch to the correct workspace first. When looking for content that previously had no workspace, start with your default personal workspace. Content that already belonged to a workspace remains there. Creating a personal or shared space does not move all your existing content into the new space.
  2. Continue a historical conversation. Open Conversations, select the existing conversation, and check its history. If a message indicates that the conversation does not match the sandbox or that the execution environment is unavailable, follow the guidance first. If needed, start a new conversation in the correct workspace. Workspace assignment and the availability of an old execution environment are separate issues. See Conversations for details.
  3. Check existing tasks. Open Automations, find the existing task, and review its execution target, enabled state, run time, and recent results. Team tasks may be manual-only; appearing in the automation list does not mean a task runs periodically. Do not create duplicates or immediately trigger tasks just to regain access. See Automations for details.
  4. Organize further collaboration as needed. To create a workspace for a new goal, see Create a Workspace. To maintain a team's Agents and orchestration settings, see Agent Team. Creating or joining a shared space does not automatically make ordinary historical conversations available to other members.

If you cannot find your content

The current workspace is empty: Check whether you selected a newly created space or a different shared space, then return to your default personal workspace or the content's original workspace. Also check the list's search terms and filters.

You have no default personal workspace, or the workspace is not ready: Ask an administrator to check your personal sandbox binding, personal workspace initialization, and the workspace assignment of historical content. Refreshing the page alone cannot complete migration for an account that does not meet these prerequisites. See My Sandbox for runtime environment details.

A historical conversation is missing from the list: Check whether it is archived and whether you still have access to the relevant Agent, workspace, and content. The upgrade cannot restore deleted conversations. For conversations started through external messaging channels, do not assume the ordinary web conversation list is the right place to look; see Channel Overview and Account Binding first.

You cannot find a team in Automations or task records in Capability Center: First distinguish between team configuration and execution tasks. Team configurations are in Capability Center, existing team tasks are in Automations within their assigned workspace, and team conversations are in Conversations.

You can see a task but cannot operate it: Viewing and management permissions may differ. The upgrade does not automatically expand permissions or turn other users' private conversations into shared content. Check the creator, workspace membership, and resource permissions using the collaboration permissions section in Automations.

You still cannot locate the content: Give an administrator your current account, selected workspace, original conversation or task name, original link if available, and any message shown on the page so they can check workspace assignment and access conditions. Do not delete, recreate, or repeatedly trigger the existing task while this is being checked.
