Overview

Trending Topics is one of the core modules of the Omni Insights system. In this system, trending topics are custom-created by users, and AI is used to intelligently analyze the related content. Like trending topics on Weibo, they are timely, topical, and significant.

Custom topics

You configure the topic settings, and the system uses AI to precisely match related content based on the topic configuration you enter, efficiently aggregating the topic's content.

Topic overview statistics

This feature lets you analyze topics quickly, helping operators catch and understand topics that break out in the game community, so they can run effective community operations and maintain a good community reputation.

Features of Trending Topics

  • Efficiency: Helps you quickly understand "what is happening in the community right now," accurately grasp the hot discussions of the moment, and greatly improve how efficiently you get information.
  • Customization: Lets you proactively set up and track the specific topics you care about, going beyond AI recommendations alone for personalized topic tracking.
  • Depth: Uses AI to interpret the data in depth and uncover the deeper meaning behind it, giving you more valuable topic insights.

Create a topic

When you want to follow a topic such as a specific event or a hot discussion, create a custom topic in Trending Topics.

After you create a trending topic, wait for it to finish generating, and then you can view the custom topic's overview, related content, and content details

Create a custom topic

In the upper-right corner of Trending Topics, click + Custom Topic to open the custom topic configuration page

Configure the topic's basic information and content scope

Topic Description

Paste or enter up to 1000 characters.

(To improve the accuracy of AI content matching, enter a description that is as relevant to the topic as possible.)

Note: After a topic is saved, its basic information cannot be edited, so make sure the configuration is correct and complete when you create a topic

Click View Example below the input box to open the example dialog, then click Use Example to fill in the topic description. Replace the content in the square brackets [ ] with content related to your game.

Content Scope

  • Data Scope: Global by default, including post and video content from all channels. You can select channels and data types

If you add another channel after selecting all channels, the system gets the union of the data from both

Hover over the upper-right corner of a channel card to show the Edit and Delete actions for adjusting the channel

  • Time range

    • The date range can currently span up to 60 days

    • You can select past and future date ranges

      • When you select past dates, execution starts immediately.
      • When the selected dates include future dates, an automatic update time setting appears, with updates at midnight every day by default. Adjust the automatic update time as needed. (Data for past dates is processed immediately, and data for future dates is updated on schedule the next day.)

After you create the topic, wait for the task to run, and the topic enters the generating state.

Note: Topic generation may take some time depending on the amount of data, so be patient

When topic generation is complete, you receive an in-app notification.

Manage the topic list

On the Trending Topics list page, in addition to creating topic tasks, you can manage generated trending topics or view topic details.

  • Sort by popularity or time
  • The topic list shows basic information about each topic and its discussion trend

1. Edit a topic

On the topic editing page, you can adjust the data scope and time range

If all channels were configured, the editing page expands them into individual channel cards for easy editing.

2. Run manually

If topic generation fails or the data is abnormal, run the task again manually.

Note: The date range for a manual run must be within the current date range. Running manually makes the topic re-match content, so proceed with caution

3. Delete

You can delete a topic; a confirmation dialog appears before deletion.

Topic details

Click a topic name to open the topic details page and view the topic's statistical overview. Use the tabs to switch between Topic Overview and Details.

On the topic details page, you can also click Run Manually or Edit in the upper-right corner.
