Daily summary
Feature overview
Daily Summary is a core LLM-based content generation feature. It integrates and analyzes the full data of the Omni Insights module to automatically generate well-structured, detailed summaries in the form of a daily report. The feature focuses on the key discussions and ecosystem dynamics in game communities each day and precisely extracts core information, helping you quickly grasp the latest community situation for your own games and competing games without manually sifting through massive amounts of content.
Positioning and differences
The core value of Daily Summary is fine-grained content aggregation. Although it uses data processing logic similar to the Trending Topics feature, there are clear differences:
| Characteristic | Daily Summary (highlights / hot discussions) | Trending Topics |
|---|---|---|
| Content granularity | Finer; summarizes and distills scattered discussions within a single day | Larger; tied to major game incidents, version updates, and large-scale events |
| Duration | One day at a time, reflecting that day's activity | Longer cycles, covering the full lifecycle of an event |
| Core capabilities | Highlight extraction, hot discussion aggregation, sentiment analysis | Event tracking, spread path analysis, long-term trend assessment |
| Use cases | Daily community monitoring, quick daily read on public sentiment | Impact assessment of major events, cross-cycle trend analysis |
UI layout and core operations
Daily Summary uses a multi-module layout, divided by function into an operation area and a content display area.
It mainly displays two modules: Popular Topics (noteworthy posts / videos) and Discussion Highlights (points players discuss frequently). You can switch dates to view the corresponding content.
With the Generate Summary button in the upper-right corner, you can select a time period in batch, and summaries are regenerated for the selected period.
Click Generate to generate the summary for the current day directly, without selecting a time. When the summary for a day is being generated (that is, it is in the Generating state), the page looks like the following.
If the daily summary for the day has finished running (that is, the daily summary table has data) but all modules have no data (popular topics and hot discussions, which can be considered as no data for that day), the following special empty state is displayed
- Click the Generate button. If a summary already exists for the selected date, a confirmation dialog appears. Choose how to handle the existing summary. There are two options: Skip Existing Summaries or Regenerate. If you choose Skip Existing Summaries, the existing summary is kept and that date is skipped. If you choose to regenerate, the original summary is deleted and a new one is generated.
- If a game has a summary generation task in progress, the Generate Summary button can't be clicked
Popular topics (noteworthy posts)
- You can switch between trending content across all channels and trending content for each channel. Each section shows the top 10 items
- You can click to open the Content Center detail page and view the specific content.
Discussion Highlights
Discussion Highlights works like the trending search lists on various platforms, showing points of discussion that reach a certain discussion volume each day. For the difference between discussion highlights and trending topics, see Positioning and differences above. In short, although they are processed in similar ways, discussion highlights are more fine-grained.
- There are two types of hot discussions: positive and negative. Each type is sorted in descending order by the number of related content items to display the hot discussion content
- Hot discussion drill-down
You can drill down into hot discussions. Click a hot discussion to open a drill-down side drawer that shows the content related to it.
- Currently, hot discussions include only videos and posts, not comments
