Data receiving URL management

Last updated 10/02/2026

This section describes how to manage global data receiving URLs on the System Settings page. You can view a project's data receiving URL in Projects under Project Settings.

1. Why manage data receiving URLs

The data receiving URL is a required parameter for reporting data to an AE project. Managing data receiving URLs in AE makes it easy for data integration staff to get the parameters they need for data ingestion. We also provide data receiving URL monitoring to prevent data loss caused by data receiving URL errors.

AE has two types of data receiving URLs:

  • URL for public network: Used for client-side data reporting and for server-side data ingestion in a public network environment
  • URL for private network: Used for data ingestion and testing in an intranet environment

A data receiving URL must include the protocol and host name. Examples:

Warning: We strongly recommend binding an SSL certificate to the public network data receiving URL and using an https URL to ensure the security and stability of data reporting.

2. Manage data receiving URLs

Go to the Data Receiving URL tab under System Settings → General Management → General Configuration to view the data receiving URL configuration of the current cluster:

2.1 Global URL

Typically, all projects in a cluster can use the same data receiving URL. You can configure the default data receiving URL for projects by setting the global URL (Default URL).

The global URL is visible to all projects. When a project doesn't have a custom URL configured, the global URL is displayed on the Implementation page in Project Settings so that the relevant people can view it.

2.2 Project custom URL

An AE project can have its own custom data receiving URL for easier management. A project custom URL can be edited by the project admin on the Project Settings page, or managed on the System Settings page.

A project custom URL takes priority over the global URL. When a project has a custom URL, the Project Settings page displays the project custom URL.

3. Data receiving URL monitoring

You can turn on automatic checks for each data receiving URL to monitor its status.

Warning: If you restrict external network access for AE cluster nodes, the data receiving URL status may not be checked accurately. Contact your operations staff to configure access

On the Data Receiving URL tab, click the check icon to the right of a URL, next to the edit icon, to view the corresponding data receiving URL check task. You can configure the Execution mode and Task runner of the check task separately for each URL.

After you turn on scheduled checks and notifications, we notify the relevant people through system alerts when an SSL certificate is about to expire or has expired. You can manage the recipients of alert notifications on the System Settings → General Management → System Monitor → Service Alerts page.
