Member and permission management

Last updated 10/05/2026

In member and permission management under System Settings, Root users can manage all members and authorize members as System Admin to use some system management features.

Change a member's display name and password

On the Member Management page, you can view all members in the system, including members who haven't logged in or haven't completed project authorization. A member's display name and password can be changed only by the member, Root users, and authorized system admins.

Edit a member's project permissions

Click a member's Project Permissions to view the member's permissions in each project and add the member to or remove them from projects as a Root user. If the member's role in a project is project Owner, you can't edit their permissions for that project on this page. Instead, go to Projects to change the project Owner to another member, and then adjust the member's project permissions.

When you remove a member from a project, you need to hand over assets after clicking Save: you can hand over the member's assets in each project to different members separately, or hand over the assets of all projects to the same member. After selecting the recipient, click Transfer and Remove. The member receiving the assets must have permission to manage assets in the corresponding project; otherwise, they can't be the asset recipient.

Add and delete members

You can create members in the upper-right corner of the page. When adding a system member, provide the member's account and display name. To create members quickly, you can enter multiple accounts at once, separated by commas. After the members are created, you can grant them permissions for each project.

When you delete a member, you need to handle the member's assets in all projects. If no handover is needed, all of the member's assets are deleted directly. If handover is needed, you can hand over assets project by project or all at once.

Freeze an account

When a member temporarily leaves a project or an account is temporarily suspended, you can freeze the account and unfreeze it when the member returns. The freeze option is in the action column on the right. After a member is frozen, they can't log in to their AE account, but their assets aren't affected, and any dashboards already shared with others remain usable. After the account is unfrozen, the member can log in normally.
