View and manage existing projects

For all connected projects, you can view their creation time, metadata volume, and data usage in Projects. Click the edit icon in the action column to change the project name, project notes, project picture, and project Owner in the Edit Configuration dialog.

Set the project Owner

Each project can have at most 1 project Owner, who can allocate permissions and manage assets with the same permissions in the project as a Root user. The project Owner can manage all members in the project except Root users, including project admins.

Setting a project Owner suits scenarios where project teams are independent and self-governing. By setting a project Owner, you can give the project team lead permissions higher than the Project Admin role.

Click the edit icon in the action column and change the project Owner in the Edit Configuration dialog. You can select any member in the system as the project Owner, and the original project Owner is downgraded to an admin in the project. If you select a member of another project as this project's Owner, the member is automatically added to this project.

If you don't need a project Owner, you can set the project Owner to Root to prevent abuse of Owner permissions.

Stop data receiving for a project

When a project no longer needs to receive new data, you can set it to Stop Data Receiving. After data receiving stops, any newly reported data is discarded directly, while the project's existing data can still be used for analysis as usual. For projects with Engage enabled, Engage data can no longer be collected, so proceed with caution. Stopping data receiving doesn't turn off Session Replay at the same time; to turn off Session Replay, do so manually on the Project Settings page.

If you need to start receiving data again later, you can resume data receiving at any time. Data sent while data receiving was stopped can't be recovered.

Create a project

To onboard a new project, first create the project on this page, and then connect the data source.

  1. Click Create Project
  1. Enter the project name and project notes, and set the project picture and project Owner. The project Owner defaults to the currently logged-in account (Root is shown when a Root user is logged in). If you don't need a project Owner, select Root
  1. (Optional) Turn on historical data import. Historical data (data older than 10 days) is batch-imported every 3 hours, which significantly improves import efficiency for TB-scale data. Real-time data reporting for the project isn't affected.
  2. (Optional) Quickly import members. If the project's members are the same as those of an existing project, you can import all members of the old project with one click.
  1. After the project is created, go to the new project's Project Settings page to complete the remaining configuration, including the data receiving URL and data processing rules.

Delete a project

When a project is no longer needed, you can delete it, for example, to close test projects or expired projects. Only Root users can do this.

A deleted project is soft-deleted and no longer receives reported data. If you deleted a project by mistake, contact ThinkingAI staff to restore it. To permanently purge the project data, contact ThinkingAI staff. A deleted project doesn't count toward the system's project limit, but the data volume it has used still counts toward overall billing.
